Jungle Strike

Online version of Jungle Strike for PC DOS. Jungle Strike is a 1993 action game by Electronic Arts and the second part of the Strike series. The player is back in a gunship, this time a Comanche, flying over Washington, the South American rainforest and snowbound mountains in an isometric view. The enemies are Ibn Kilbaba, son of the general from the first game, and the drug baron Carlos Ortega, who are preparing a nuclear attack on the capital of the United States. Besides the helicopter the campaign also puts the player on a motorbike, in a hovercraft and in an F-117 fighter. The SEGA Mega Drive version came first, followed by the SNES, the Amiga with the CD32, and in 1995 the PC, the Game Boy and the Game Gear.

IBM PC with MS-DOS

Online emulated version of Jungle Strike was originally developed for the IBM PC and compatible computers, with MS DOS - Microsoft Disk Operating System. It is an OS for x86-based personal computers mostly developed by Microsoft and released in 1981 as PC DOS 1.0.
MS-DOS was targeted at Intel 8086 processors running on computer hardware using floppy disks to store and access not only the operating system, but application software and user data as well. Progressive version releases delivered support for other mass storage media in ever greater sizes and formats, along with added feature support for newer processors and rapidly evolving computer architectures. Ultimately, it was the key product in Microsoft's development from a programming language company to a diverse software development firm, providing the company with essential revenue and marketing resources. It was also the underlying basic operating system on which early versions of Windows ran as a GUI.
