Deja Vu I & II: The Casebooks of Ace Harding

Online version of Deja Vu I & II: The Casebooks of Ace Harding for Game Boy Color. Deja Vu I & II: The Casebooks of Ace Harding bundles both detective adventures starring Ace Harding, originally released separately on the Macintosh in 1985 and 1988. Mindscape first packaged the two ICOM Simulations cases together for DOS and Windows 3.x in 1992, selling both for the price of one game. A reworked Game Boy Color port followed in 1999, bringing Deja Vu II to a console for the first time and rewriting the first game's ending so it flows directly into the sequel. The console version also softened the original memory-loss mechanic and toned down a few scenes for a younger audience.

Nintendo Game Boy Color Console

Online emulated version of Deja Vu I & II: The Casebooks of Ace Harding was originally developed for Game Boy Color (GBC), an 8-bit handheld game console, manufactured by Nintendo, which was released in Japan on October 21, 1998 and to international markets that November. It is the successor to the original Game Boy and is part of the Game Boy family.
The GBC features a color screen (160x144 px) rather than monochrome, but it is not backlit. It is slightly thicker and taller and features a slightly smaller screen than the Game Boy Pocket, its immediate predecessor in the Game Boy line. As with the original Game Boy, it has a custom 8-bit processor made by Sharp that is considered a hybrid between the Intel 8080 and the Zilog Z80.

Due to its backward compatibility with Game Boy games, the Game Boy Color's launch period had a large playable library. Tetris for the original Game Boy is the best-selling game compatible with Game Boy Color, and Pokémon Gold and Silver are the best-selling games developed primarily for it. The best-selling Game Boy Color exclusive game is Pokémon Crystal.
