Urban Strike

Online version of Urban Strike for Game Boy. Urban Strike is a 1994 action game by Electronic Arts and the third part of the Strike series. The player is back in a gunship, working through a list of objectives in an isometric view, watching fuel and ammunition as much as the shooting and flying rescued people back to base. This time the fighting happens neither in the desert nor in the jungle but over American cities, where the media magnate H. R. Malone has built himself a private army and a secret superweapon. The new addition is a set of sections in which the player leaves the helicopter and carries on foot with a rifle. The SEGA Mega Drive version came first, and the conversions for the SNES, the Game Gear and the Game Boy were made by Black Pearl Software.

Nintendo Game Boy Console

Online emulated version of Urban Strike was originally developed for Game Boy, an 8-bit handheld game console developed and manufactured by Nintendo. The first handheld in the Game Boy family, it was first released in Japan on April 21, 1989, then North America, three months later, and lastly in Europe, more than one year later. It was designed by the same team that developed the Game & Watch series of handheld electronic games and several Nintendo Entertainment System games: Satoru Okada, Gunpei Yokoi, and Nintendo Research & Development No.1.

The console features a dull green dot-matrix screen (160x144 px) with adjustable contrast dial, five control buttons (a directional pad, two game buttons, and "START" and "SELECT"), a single speaker with adjustable volume dial, and, like its rivals, uses cartridges as physical media for games. At launch, it was sold either as a standalone unit, or bundled with one of several games, namely Super Mario Land or Tetris.
