Oscar

Online version of Oscar for SNES. Oscar is a 1993 platformer by the British company Flair Software, created by reworking their game Trolls after the troll doll licence expired. The hero is Flair's own character Oscar, and the whole game takes place on movie sets: science fiction, western, horror, cartoons, dinosaurs, detective and a TV game show. Each world requires collecting enough Oscar statuettes, and the worlds can be tackled in any order through a tower of doors. Enemies can be jumped over or killed by landing on them, helped along by power-ups such as invulnerability, a higher jump and a yo-yo that smashes through walls. The game was released for the Amiga, Amiga CD32, PC DOS and Super NES.

SNES Console

Online emulated version of Oscar was originally developed for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES), an 16-bit home video game cartridge-based console produced by Nintendo, first released in Japan as the Super Famicom (SFC) in 1990. The SNES is Nintendo`s second programmable home console, following the NES. The console introduced advanced graphics and sound capabilities compared with other systems at the time. The system was designed to accommodate the ongoing development of a variety of enhancement chips integrated into game cartridges to be competitive into the next generation.

Many SNES games such as Super Mario World (1990), The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (1991), Donkey Kong Country (1994), EarthBound (1994), Super Metroid (1994) and others, are often cited to be some of the greatest video games of all time...
