Populous II: Trials of the Olympian Gods
Online version of Populous II: Trials of the Olympian Gods for SNES. Populous II: Trials of the Olympian Gods is the sequel to Bullfrog's god game, released in November 1991 for the Amiga and gradually ported to other computers and consoles. Peter Molyneux insisted the game be written from scratch, and moved it out of a vague medieval world into Greek myth: the player is a demigod, son of Zeus by a mortal woman, who has to fight his way through the whole Olympian pantheon. The core stayed the same, levelling the land so that worshippers can build and multiply, but the number of divine interventions rose from eight to nearly thirty, split across six elements. Among them are earthquakes, volcanoes, tidal waves and the irreversible Armageddon.

Online emulated version of Populous II: Trials of the Olympian Gods was originally developed for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES), an 16-bit home video game cartridge-based console produced by Nintendo, first released in Japan as the Super Famicom (SFC) in 1990. The SNES is Nintendo`s second programmable home console, following the NES. The console introduced advanced graphics and sound capabilities compared with other systems at the time. The system was designed to accommodate the ongoing development of a variety of enhancement chips integrated into game cartridges to be competitive into the next generation.
Many SNES games such as Super Mario World (1990), The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (1991), Donkey Kong Country (1994), EarthBound (1994), Super Metroid (1994) and others, are often cited to be some of the greatest video games of all time...
