Terminator, The (SNES)

Online version of Terminator, The (SNES) for SNES. The Terminator for SNES is an action game based on the 1984 film, released by Mindscape in April 1993. It was written by the Canadian studio Gray Matter, so despite the shared name and publisher it is neither a port of the NES version nor related to the Sega or PC games. The player is Kyle Reese and alternates side-scrolling levels, shooting terminators in 2029 and street punks and policemen in Los Angeles in 1984, with two stretches behind the wheel. Those follow the car from behind, with Kyle and Sarah Connor escaping the pursuing terminator through heavy traffic. It is a considerably better game than the NES version, although the period press still treated it as no more than average.

SNES Console

Online emulated version of Terminator, The (SNES) was originally developed for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES), an 16-bit home video game cartridge-based console produced by Nintendo, first released in Japan as the Super Famicom (SFC) in 1990. The SNES is Nintendo`s second programmable home console, following the NES. The console introduced advanced graphics and sound capabilities compared with other systems at the time. The system was designed to accommodate the ongoing development of a variety of enhancement chips integrated into game cartridges to be competitive into the next generation.

Many SNES games such as Super Mario World (1990), The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (1991), Donkey Kong Country (1994), EarthBound (1994), Super Metroid (1994) and others, are often cited to be some of the greatest video games of all time...
