Adventureland
Online version of Adventureland for TRS-80 CoCo. A text adventure Scott Adams wrote in BASIC for the TRS-80 in 1978, the game that started Adventure International. The player roams a forest, swamps and caverns in search of 13 treasures to be carried to a store room, pestered on the way by bees, a bear and a dragon. Commands are typed for a parser of 2 words, verb and object. Built as an interpreter plus a separate game database, it spread within a few years to almost every home computer, from the Apple II and Atari to a VIC-20 cartridge and the TI-99/4A with its own module...

Tandy TRS-80 Color Computer
Online emulated version of Adventureland was originally developed for the TRS-80 Color Computer, a home computer sold by Tandy through its Radio Shack stores from 1980. Despite the name it has little in common with the TRS-80 Model I: it was designed around a Motorola reference design, which the Welsh Dragon 32 shares too. The Color Computer 2 of 1983 made it smaller and cheaper, the Color Computer 3 of 1986 added 80 column text and 64 colours.
The CoCo is built around the Motorola 6809E CPU at 0.89 MHz with 4 to 64 KB of RAM and Microsoft Color BASIC in ROM. Its MC6847 video chip draws 32 by 16 characters of text and graphics up to 256 by 192 pixels. Programs came on ROM cartridges and cassette tape, and the disk controller cartridge added 5.25" floppy disks with Disk Extended Color BASIC.
