Wing Commander

Online version of Wing Commander for SNES. Wing Commander is a space combat simulator designed by Chris Roberts and released by the American studio Origin Systems for the PC in 1990. The player joins the carrier TCS Tiger's Claw as a freshly commissioned lieutenant and flies missions against the feline Kilrathi in the Vega sector. Between sorties he walks the ship, picks up gossip in the bar and takes his orders in the briefing room, and his results decide which branch of the campaign the war follows. Two Secret Missions expansions followed, and the game was later converted to the Amiga, SNES, FM Towns, Amiga CD32, SEGA CD and Macintosh.

SNES Console

Online emulated version of Wing Commander was originally developed for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES), an 16-bit home video game cartridge-based console produced by Nintendo, first released in Japan as the Super Famicom (SFC) in 1990. The SNES is Nintendo`s second programmable home console, following the NES. The console introduced advanced graphics and sound capabilities compared with other systems at the time. The system was designed to accommodate the ongoing development of a variety of enhancement chips integrated into game cartridges to be competitive into the next generation.

Many SNES games such as Super Mario World (1990), The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (1991), Donkey Kong Country (1994), EarthBound (1994), Super Metroid (1994) and others, are often cited to be some of the greatest video games of all time...
